When your samples are in 50 mL to 200 mL vessels — beakers, conical tubes, wide-mouth bottles — the SpeedoVap HV range handles them with the same microprocessor-controlled reliability that labs across India depend on. Choose the timer-controlled standard model, or the automatic end-point model that stops at a precise residual volume.

Vortex Gas Blowdown technology. All Takahe high volume nitrogen evaporators use vortexed nitrogen, which enlarges the evaporation surface area and equalises gas pressure across every position — delivering fast, uniform evaporation and lower gas consumption than conventional blowdown.

A high-volume nitrogen blowdown evaporator built for environmental, soil, food, and water testing laboratories — processing up to 15 large-format samples unattended in a single run.

Three independent gas manifolds let you switch on only what your batch size needs, and interchangeable racks adapt one instrument to beakers, wide-mouth bottles, and large conical tubes from 25 mL to 200 mL.

Combo option: one instrument configured for both low & high volume applications — available after feasibility review at nominal additional cost.

India’s first automatic end-point nitrogen evaporator — evaporation stops automatically at a precise pre-set volume (0.5, 1.0 or 2.0 mL), at each station individually, without any manual monitoring.

Designed for laboratories that must retain a fixed residual volume before reconstitution — no guesswork, no checking. A non-contact optical sensor at each station detects the liquid level and shuts off that station’s nitrogen the moment the end-point is reached.

HV Nitrogen evaporator questions answered

The SpeedoVap HV is timer-controlled — you set a run time and nitrogen stops when the timer ends. The Automatic End Point adds optical sensors at each station that detect the exact liquid level, stopping nitrogen the moment the residual volume reaches your pre-set value (0.5, 1.0, or 2.0 mL). Choose the standard HV for maximum throughput with large glassware; choose the End Point when your workflow requires a precise, repeatable residual volume before LC-MS or HPLC.

Interchangeable racks accommodate conical centrifuge tubes (75–200 mL), Borosil reagent bottles (25–250 mL), and Borosil low-form beakers (25–500 mL). Each instrument ships with one rack matching your specified vessel; additional racks can be ordered separately.

A microprocessor-controlled non-contact sensor sits at the calibration mark on the end-point tube. As solvent evaporates and the level drops, the sensor detects the change at that mark and triggers shut-off for that station. Because detection is optical — not mechanical — there are no floats or probes to contaminate or corrode.

If your lab runs both low volume (tubes up to ~15 mL) and high volume (50–200 mL) work, Takahe can supply a single Combo Evaporator configured for both — avoiding the cost of two separate instruments. Available after a brief feasibility review at nominal additional cost.

The SpeedoVap LV (SVLV) is Takahe’s most widely installed nitrogen evaporator — an automated, high-speed low volume concentrator handling up to 50 samples per batch using interchangeable racks for tube formats from 1.5 mL to 30 mL.

Gas can be activated selectively on any of five independent manifolds, so different sample types can run simultaneously. Widely used for solvent evaporation in pharmaceutical drug analysis and pesticide extract preparation.
