Four models engineered for sample volumes from 1.5 mL to 30 mL — the core workhorses of analytical, pharmaceutical, clinical, and food-testing laboratories. Designed, manufactured, and quality-tested in Navi Mumbai. Choose by capacity, heating method, and budget.
Vortex Gas Blowdown technology. All Takahe low volume nitrogen evaporators use vortexed nitrogen, which enlarges the evaporation surface area and equalises gas pressure across every position — delivering fast, uniform evaporation and lower gas consumption than conventional blowdown.

Automated low volume sample concentrator — up to 50 samples per batch
Most installed
The SpeedoVap LV (SVLV) is Takahe’s most widely installed nitrogen evaporator — an automated, high-speed low volume concentrator handling up to 50 samples per batch using interchangeable racks for tube formats from 1.5 mL to 30 mL.
Gas can be activated selectively on any of five independent manifolds, so different sample types can run simultaneously. Widely used for solvent evaporation in pharmaceutical drug analysis and pesticide extract preparation.
Budget entry-level low volume nitrogen evaporator for straightforward workflows
Entry-level
Cost-effective
The SpeedoVap LX (SVLX) is designed for small testing laboratories that need reliable nitrogen evaporation without the advanced feature set of the LV — at an accessible cost. All essential capabilities are retained: controlled water bath, programmable timer, and built-in exhaust.
An ideal choice for labs with straightforward, lower-throughput evaporation workflows where budget is the primary consideration. Core Takahe build quality and reliability remain unchanged.
Mini nitrogen evaporator — ultra-compact, 15 samples, fast warm-up, low cost
Smallest footprint
45 LPM
The Min-eVap (MV) is purpose-built for laboratories with lower workloads and fixed sample requirements. It carries all the core features of the SpeedoVap LV in a significantly smaller footprint at a lower cost.
Its compact tank reaches set temperatures quickly — ideal for fast-turnaround workflows. Common in small testing labs, educational institutions, and food-industry QC for antibiotic residue, phenolic compound, and pesticide extract analyses.
Dry heat nitrogen evaporator — no water bath, minimal contamination risk
No water bath
Low contamination
15 samples
The SpeedoVap Dry Block replaces the water bath with a precision aluminium dry-heat block — the preferred choice where water-borne cross-contamination is a concern. Low contamination risk makes it well suited to sensitive clinical, forensic, and trace-analysis workflows.
Processes up to 15 samples simultaneously using the same nitrogen blowdown principle as the rest of the SpeedoVap range, with three independently controlled manifolds and full timer control.

The SpeedoVap LV is the full-featured flagship — up to 50 samples with five independent gas manifolds for simultaneous multi-format runs. The SpeedoVap LX is the budget entry-level model: it keeps the controlled water bath, programmable timer, and built-in exhaust at a lower cost, for labs with straightforward, lower-throughput workflows.
Choose the SpeedoVap Dry Block when water-borne cross-contamination is a concern — for example in sensitive clinical, forensic, and trace-analysis workflows. It uses a precision aluminium dry-heat block instead of a water bath, removing the contamination pathway entirely.
Gas flow varies by model: the SpeedoVap LV requires 150 LPM with all manifolds active, the LX 90–150 LPM, and both the Min-eVap and Dry Block just 45 LPM. Connecting any model to a Takahe N2 Genie nitrogen generator eliminates cylinder costs entirely.
