Mixing is where sample preparation begins. High-speed vortexing resuspends and dissolves a hundred tubes in a single run; gentle end-over-end rotation mixes sensitive samples without foaming or heat. Takahe builds both — the high-throughput Multi-tube Vortexer for clinical and analytical batches, and the Multi-tube Rotary Mixer for delicate, complete mixing.

The Takahe Multi-tube Vortexer — 180 Position is built for high-throughput analytical laboratories that process large batches of samples in a single unattended run. It is the standard instrument in BA/BE clinical study laboratories, where 100 or more tubes must be vortexed uniformly before extraction or analysis.
The platform uses interchangeable racks, allowing the same instrument to process 1.5 mL and 2 mL microcentrifuge tubes, standard test tubes of varying diameters, and 96-well plates — without any modification to the drive unit. Variable speed control and a programmable timer allow the operator to set the run and step away.

The Multi-tube Rotary Mixer uses end-over-end rotation to achieve thorough, homogeneous mixing without introducing air bubbles or causing sedimentation. It is the preferred instrument wherever gentle, complete mixing is essential — blood samples, reagent preparation, bead-based assays, and overnight incubation reactions.
Unlike vortexing, which uses high-speed orbital motion, end-over-end rotation continuously re-suspends settled material throughout the tube without heat generation or foaming. Variable speed and a programmable timer allow precise, unattended operation.

Solvent evaporation before HPLC, GC, and LC-MS analysis of drug compounds, metabolites, and formulations.
SpeedoVap LV · SpeedoVap LX

Concentration of pesticide extracts and antibiotic residues prior to GC-MS or LC-MS. Supports FSSAI and NABL labs.
SpeedoVap LV · SpeedoVap HV · Min-eVap

Sample preparation for toxicology screening and clinical chemistry — the Dry Block suits contamination-sensitive work.
SpeedoVap 96WP · Duo-eVap · Dry Block
The SpeedoVap LV is the full-featured flagship — up to 50 samples with five independent gas manifolds for simultaneous multi-format runs. The SpeedoVap LX is the budget entry-level model: it keeps the controlled water bath, programmable timer, and built-in exhaust at a lower cost, for labs with straightforward, lower-throughput workflows.
Choose the SpeedoVap Dry Block when water-borne cross-contamination is a concern — for example in sensitive clinical, forensic, and trace-analysis workflows. It uses a precision aluminium dry-heat block instead of a water bath, removing the contamination pathway entirely.
Gas flow varies by model: the SpeedoVap LV requires 150 LPM with all manifolds active, the LX 90–150 LPM, and both the Min-eVap and Dry Block just 45 LPM. Connecting any model to a Takahe N2 Genie nitrogen generator eliminates cylinder costs entirely.
Yes. Takahe nitrogen evaporators are supplied with full IQ, OQ, and PQ documentation — essential for pharmaceutical, clinical research, and food-testing laboratories operating under GLP or GMP. Training is provided at installation.

Automated low volume sample concentrator — up to 50 samples per batch
The SpeedoVap LV (SVLV) is Takahe’s most widely installed nitrogen evaporator — an automated, high-speed low volume concentrator handling up to 50 samples per batch using interchangeable racks for tube formats from 1.5 mL to 30 mL.
Gas can be activated selectively on any of five independent manifolds, so different sample types can run simultaneously. Widely used for solvent evaporation in pharmaceutical drug analysis and pesticide extract preparation.
