Takahe Analytical Instruments was founded on the conviction that Indian manufacturers could deliver world-class sample preparation instruments. Today, from Tezpur to Trivandrum and across 10 countries, over a thousand laboratory installations carry the Takahe name.
Takahe began in 2003 with a single product and a clear purpose: to manufacture reliable Nitrogen Evaporators for Indian analytical laboratories that had long depended on imports. Reconstituted as a partnership firm in 2005, the company brought together deep instrumentation engineering with clinical laboratory science and a structured approach to client operations.
Each product added to our range — SPE systems, multi-tube vortexers, shakers, spinners, and nitrogen generators — has been driven by a specific industry need, often shaped directly by our clients. When CRO labs scaled their throughput demands, we engineered 100-position and then 144-position evaporators. When fisheries processing units across remote coastal India needed to comply with MPEDA standards, we supported their compliance rollout with instruments built to perform reliably in those conditions — across Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Odisha, and West Bengal.
From a single product category in Navi Mumbai, Takahe instruments now operate in over 100 Indian cities — from Tezpur in the northeast to Trivandrum in the south — and across 10 countries spanning South East Asia, West Asia, Europe, and North America. In 2025 we extended our offering further by partnering with Raytor Instruments to bring Transdermal Diffusion and Dissolution Systems into our portfolio.
Our growth has been relationship-led from the start. Clients who trusted us with a single instrument have stayed through product generations and expanding applications. That trust — earned instrument by instrument, lab by lab — remains the foundation of how we operate.
Takahe Instruments established in Navi Mumbai. First product: SpeedoVap Low Volume Nitrogen Evaporators — purpose-built for Indian analytical laboratories.
Reconstituted as Takahe Analytical Instruments, combining electronics engineering and manufacturing capability with clinical laboratory science and business development expertise.
Introduced the 100-position Nitrogen Evaporator — the first high-throughput evaporator deployed in Indian CRO laboratories, establishing Takahe as a serious manufacturing partner for large-volume sample preparation.
As MPEDA formalised standard laboratory practices for seafood processing, Takahe supported the industry's compliance rollout with Nitrogen Evaporators, Multi-Tube Vortexers, and Nitrogen Generators across processing facilities in Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Odisha, and West Bengal.
Launched the 144-position High-Throughput Nitrogen Evaporator paired with a matching 144-position SPE system — giving CRO labs a unified, fully matched high-capacity sample preparation workflow for greater productivity.
Introduced the 180-position Multi-Tube Vortexer to complement the evaporator and SPE line, completing a fully matched high-throughput sample preparation suite for demanding analytical workflows.
Launched Wrist Action Shakers, subsequently expanded into multiple shaker types to serve a broader range of laboratory mixing and agitation requirements across industries.
Partnered with Raytor Instruments to offer Transdermal Diffusion Systems and Dissolution Systems, extending Takahe's portfolio into pharmaceutical testing and formulation research. Takahe instruments now operate in 10 countries across South East Asia, West Asia, Europe, and North America.
